Persona 5 Royal is adding a lot to the Persona 5 experience. While enhanced re-releases are nothing new for the franchise (3 and 4 both got them), Royal really seems to be upping the ante. We’ve seen completely new material and additions for existing characters. Now we get some tweaks to gameplay elements as well.

First up, you can now customize your guns. Not only can you improve your hit rate and attack power, you can also add additional elemental effects. All of that will be available at the military shop.

Another thing is a change to Palaces that we got a peek at earlier in the Ishi treasures that’ll be scattered throughout. Once you collect all of them in a Palace, they will combine to become a powerful accessory that cannot be acquired any other way (thanks to Twinfinite for translations).

Persona 5 Royal will release October 31st in Japan for PlayStation 4, with a western release planned for some time in 2020.
