Daemon X Machina

The mecha genre is getting a boost later this year when Daemon X Machina hits stores. The game is promising a return to a genre we don’t get to see a whole lot of anymore, wth big robots pummelling each other. Today we get a look at a new element to the game’s combat. It won’t just be guns and robotic fists- we’ve got some special elemental damage attacks as well.

We’ve seen a decent amount of the regular combat already. Adding a little depth it, some weapons can do elemental damage. It’s fairly standard stuff, such as electricity temporarily paralyzing some enemies, with fire giving a burn effect that will give damage continuously over time. It should add a new layer to the game’s combat, though, as you’ll have figure out when and how to best use them. You can check out the video highlighting it below.

Daemon X Machina will release just in time for the Switch Lite revision release on September 13th. To get an idea of the game’s design and style, check out a heap of art of the game’s various mechs and pilots.
