People Can Fly and Square Enix finally, finally debuted gameplay for Outriders, the upcoming co-op sci-fi shooter. Thanks to an extended presentation and several trailers showcasing the different classes, setting and RPG mechanics, we now have a clearer idea of what Outriders has to offer. Check it out below.

On the surface, the game offers a cover-based third person shooter with looter shooter aspects. Firing at enemies will cause damage numbers to crop up, different rarities of weapons and armor exist along with a social hub, and so on. However, you can also unleash some interesting powers by way of different classes.

One class is capable of setting up a time barrier to make bullets slow to crawl and easier to dodge. Another can cause fire to erupt from the ground. The UI looks very Destiny-like while the gameplay calls The Division and Gears of War to mind. All of this is still work-in-progress so we could see a number of changes down the line.

Outriders releases in holiday 2020 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It will also launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
