The PS5 and Xbox Series X are both slated to release this holiday season but both consoles have been hyped to astronomical proportions already. Along with featuring solid-state drives, both consoles are slated to support ray-tracing and feature AMD Zen 2 CPUs at their respective hearts. However, we’re yet to really find out how these specs will impact games as we know them.

We managed to speak to Brok3nsite CEO Antonio Manuel García Ceva, whose company developed Dawn of Fear for the PS4. Ceva was asked about the Xbox Series X and its GGD6 RAM and what impact it could have on titles. He replied that, “The more memory, the more things on the screen that can be displayed. In the end, it’s about finding a balance to not create funnels. We can say that if currently open worlds seem big, you will soon see them small.”

With both consoles embracing the Zen 2 CPU, how much of a leap will this offer over current gen hardware? For that matter, how will it help in development? Ceva responded, “Here comes into play the expertise of the study. For us, it is good news. This power brings things closer to the PC and that makes us able to create great things.”

Both consoles have yet to reveal their pricing. However, reports indicate that Sony may hold off on announcing a price for the PS5 before the cost of the Xbox Series X is revealed. Stay tuned for more details on both consoles – the next-gen console war is just around the corner.
