Last year’s The Outer Worlds was a great gift for those seeking to have some old school RPG goodness. It had the great world building one would want from the genre, with plenty of ways to play through the narrative. You’ll be able to take the game on the go next month with the release of the Switch version, and we now know what the size of it will be.
The game’s eShop listing has been updated to reflect the file size. It comes in at 9.9 GB. For reference, the other versions come in at slightly over 20, putting this at just less than half of the original releases, which sounds about right. Do keep in mind that there could be patches on day 1 that would increase that size. The game will have a physical release, so it’s also possible there may be a required download to play the full version if you go that route, a common thing on multiple Switch titles depending on the cartridge size.
The Outer Worlds will release on June 5th for Nintendo Switch, with versions already available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. For a documentary that sheds some light on the game’s development, take a look through here.
