Not long after the PS5 games showcase originally scheduled for June 4 was delayed due to the Black Lives Matter protests in the US, Sony stated that they would be sharing a new date for the event soon. As it turns out, it seems by soon they meant really soon.
Ads are going up on Twitch streams (via Nibel on Twitter) for the PS5 reveal event once more, and they all bear a new date for it- June 11, which is this Thursday. The English version of the ad mentions that the showcase will take place on 9 PM BST (which would mean 1 PM Pacific Time).
Sony haven’t officially announced anything yet, which means these ads have gone live before they were supposed to. If the date mentioned in them is indeed accurate though, expect an announcement very soon.
Sony confirmed at the beginning of the month that the PS5 reveal event would be an hour-long showcase of next-gen games. Not long afterward, PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan promised that it would be as exciting as an E3 press conference.
Recent rumours have suggested that a Bloodborne remaster and Demon’s Souls remake will both be announced at the show. Another game that will be revealed according to rumours is a Silent Hill revival.
