Microsoft and Sony have kicked the marketing for their respective consoles into gear, and we now know a lot more about the PS5 and Xbox Series X than we did just two months back. But while several games for both have been unveiled and while we also know what both consoles and their controllers will look like, there are a few crucial things that we don’t yet know. The biggest of them all? The price.

With both next-gen consoles just months away from launch, it goes without saying that prices for both will be revealed soon- but how soon is soon? According to Kinda Funny’s Imran Khan, it will be happening soon. Speaking on the Kinda Funny Gamescast, Khan referred to both Microsoft and Sony having events planned for August, and said that he’s heard both companies will be talking about pricing and hardware details in August.

Though Microsoft and Sony have not yet unveiled the pricing of their next-gen consoles, they have talked about how they are approaching that decision. Microsoft has said that it wants to remain agile on the Xbox Series X’s price point, while Sony are targeting the best value proposition for the PS5, even if that doesn’t necessarily translate to a low price.

Meanwhile, Khan also mentioned that both Sony and Xbox have several third party games that they’re yet to reveal, which they could talk about imminently as well. Read more on that through here.
