It’s been many years since Ubisoft revisited the Prince of Persia franchise, and that changed today when it was announced that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time would be getting a remake to kick off next year. The original 2003 game is one of the most acclaimed games of all time and, well, the remake’s unveiling was…something. Either way, many were surprised at the lack of Switch version, but it seems it could still be in the cards.

While the game has not been officially announced for the system, Cheap Ass Gamer has shown that a listing for the game on Switch popped up on Gamestop (as of writing this, that listing is still live). It lists the title as coming in March as opposed to January. To further the flames, as reported by MyNintendoNews, the official website for the title also listed the Switch version at one point though it has since been removed.

Since Ubisoft has not officially confirmed the Switch version it remains rumor for now, but signs seem to be pointing to it coming to the system at a later date. For now, officially, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on January 21st 2021.
