Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition

Capcom’s Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition is coming to Xbox Series X and PS5 digitally when both consoles launch in November. While features like 4K and High Framerate Mode are enticing, Xbox Series X players may have to wait a bit longer for ray-tracing. On the game’s official website, it was confirmed that ray-tracing would be available at launch for the PS5 version and added to Xbox Series X in a “downloadable patch post release.”

Furthermore, those planning to rip and tear through Turbo and Legendary Dark Knight modes should take note. Ray-tracing will be automatically disabled for these. It also won’t be available in High Framerate Mode which runs at 120 frames per second. This is due to the prioritization of object rendering in all of the above cases.

The good news is that Vergil, added as a new playable character, will have plenty to do. Along with being available in Story Mode, he can also fight through the Bloody Palace mode. Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition is out on November 10th for Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X and November 12th for PS5 in North America. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
