PlatinumGames has a lot of irons in the fire, with a few announced games currently in development, and a few that are yet to be announced, and the studio is hoping that it will be able to share updates on a few of those projects this year. Speaking during a recent Arcade Archives stream (via Nintendo Everything), Platinum’s Hideki Kamiya said that hopefully, updates on Bayonetta 3 and some unannounced projects will be shared in 2021.

“We’ve been working on new stuff like Bayonetta 3, not that I can say too much,” Kamiya said. “But I hope we can give an update during the year, and give updates on a few more unannounced projects too. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say that, but I said it anyway.” He went on to add that he is “trying to do a lot of stuff this year.”

Bayonetta 3 was announced back in 2017, but there have been no updates on the game since then, other than numerous assurances from the developer that its development is proceeding well. Meanwhile, Platinum is also currently working on Babylon’s Fall with Square Enix, and on Project G.G. As for what the unannounced games are that Kamiya mentions, that’s anyone’s best guess right now.
