Capcom has revealed system requirements for Resident Evil Village on PC along with additional details on graphics settings. According to the Japanese site (translations via DeepL), Minimum hardware includes an Intel Core i5-7500 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 with 8 GB of RAM and either a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB of AMD Radeon RX 560 4 GB. This allows for a “Performance-focused” setting at 1080p/60 FPS though the frame rate could decrease in “heavy load situations.”

It also recommends an RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 6700 XT for ray tracing. Recommended requirements include an Intel Core i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with 16 GB of RAM. A GeForce GTX 1070 is recommended for “screen quality-oriented” 1080p/60 FPS gameplay. Once again, this frame rate can drop in heavier situations. For ray tracing, an RTX 2070 or Radeon RX 6700 XT/6800 is recommended for 4K/45 FPS gameplay.

An RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6900 XT is required for 4K/60 FPS. While ray tracing is possible in 4K, the frame rate can decrease in heavier situations. Interestingly enough, the storage space required is still “to be decided” so stay tuned for more details on that. Resident Evil Village is out on May 7th for Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5. A second demo will be coming to all platforms this Spring.

Minimum Requirements:

  • OS – Windows 10 (64bit required)
  • CPU – Intel Core i5-7500 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200
  • Memory – 8GB
  • Graphics – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 4GB VRAM or AMD Radeon RX 560 with 4GB VRAM
  • DirectX – Version12
  • Storage – TBD

Note: 1080p/60 FPS gameplay is possible with the graphics “Performance” setting.
Frame rate may decrease under heavy load. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics board is required to support ray tracing.

Recommended Specs

  • OS – Windows 10 (64bit required) Windows 10 Version 2004 or later
  • CPU – Intel Core i7 8700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Memory – 16GB
  • Graphics – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700
  • For Ray Tracing – 4K/45 FPS: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070, AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or AMD Radeon RX 6800
4K/60 FPS: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT
  • DirectX – Version12
  • Storage – TBD

Gameplay at 1080p/60fps is possible with the graphics “Focus on Screen Quality” setting.
Frame rate may decrease under heavy load. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics board is required to support ray tracing. With the graphics “Ray Tracing” setting, gameplay at 4K/45 FPS and 4K/60 FPS is possible. Frame rate may drop in heavy load situations.
