genshin impact update 2.4

Genshin Impact has only gone from strength to strength since it first launched, and a huge reason for that, of course, is the stead stream of new content miHoYo has maintained for the online RPG. As 2022 kicks off, within its first week, the game will receive its next major update with Version 2.4. miHoYo recent announced new details about what it’ll have in store, and it seems like it’s going to be a meaty one.

For starters, the game will continue to add to its roster of characters with two new additions in five-star Shenhe and four-star Yun Jin, both of whom are polearm users and have been teased in the past. Meanwhile, there will also be new event wishes, a new festival in Liyue known as Lantern Rite (which will also include a fireworks show), new vendors and shops in the city, and more.

Players will also be able to retrieve lost items from the Jade Chamber with the help of the Waverider and the Treasure Hoarders. Of course, the biggest new addition with this update is Enkanomiya- a completely new region. As a floating island beneath the ocean, it’s a mysterious new area bringing with it its own new environments and activities- including puzzles that’ll require “the transition switch between day and night.”

You can get more details on what update 2.4 will bring in the video below, or through the link above. The update will go live on January 5.

Genshin Impact is available on PS5, PS4, PC, iOS, and Android.
