Dying Light 2 Stay Human has been out for a little over a week now, and though it might not have touched new heights where its critical reception is concerned, there’s little doubt that the game’s had quite a successful launch, from impressive player counts on PC to solid debut sales in the UK. In fact, Techland has provided additional details on just how successful the game has been.
The Polish developer recently took to Twitter to announce that Dying Light 2 Stay Human was played by over three million people over the course of the first weekend after its launch, which is an impressive start by any metric. With Techland having committed to supporting the open world action RPG for the next five years, it should be interesting to see how steadily its sales climb over the coming months and year.
Techland has been in the process of working on patches to iron out the game’s technical issues, having recently also enabled a 60+ FPS VRR mode on Xbox Series X. Xbox Series S players, however, might have to wait for something similar, with the developer having spoken about the limitations of the console’s GPU.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with a cloud-exclusive Nintendo Switch version due out later this year. You can read our review of the game through here.
