Mysterious Uncharted 3 Promoter Is Harrison Ford

Posted By | On 19th, Oct. 2011

A little while back a teaser for a Japanese Uncharted 3 advert was released, claiming the TV spot would feature a famous face: That face has turned out to be none other than Harrison Ford’s. In a press release for the campaign, Sony said they selected Ford because of the familiarity between the characters in Uncharted and the various characters Ford has played (no specific roles were named). Ford doesn’t normally play games, but did have to play Uncharted 3 to shoot the ad. Commenting on some difficulties he encountered during his playthrough he supposedly said “The game really gave me the feeling that I was in a movie, but it’s enjoyable because while I always win in my movies things don’t necessarily go so well in the game.”  Please note the quote is translated from the Japanese press release, which presumably had to translate Ford’s quote into Japanese in the first place.
