Atlus recently announced (after a lot of teasing) the sequel to 1997’s Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers, Soul Hackers 2, which is slated to release this year. While the game is still a few months away from its intended August release, that is not stopping the Japanese developer from revealing new information on it.

Today, Atlus West released a ton of new screenshots for the upcoming game (via Game Informer). The screenshots reveal quite a lot, such as the combat menu of the game, some encounters with the main characters, and various other things. The developers have also released some concept art for various demons, such as Jack Frost, Gurr, and more.

Atlus has also shared information regarding the upcoming JRPG, such as the general plot, which revolves around a sentient being of data called Aion sending over two of their agents, Ringo and Figue, to Earth when it realizes that the planet is in trouble. Both characters are tasked with finding and protecting two individuals who are essential in saving the world- who, unfortunately, are already dead. The game is set in the 21st century and will follow both characters reviving the said deceased individuals and teaming up to save the world.
