Season 2: Lone Wolves for Halo Infinite is coming up and features new maps, new modes and a new Battle Pass to earn cosmetics from. There will also be some new story content, as revealed in a recent trailer (courtesy of IGN). It sees two of the Wolves, Spartan Sigrid Eklund and Spartan Hieu Dinh, returning from a hunt in a Covenant ship, though the latter is worse for wear.
What exactly happened remains to be seen but Dinh’s neural chip seems to contain some important information. Perhaps a new conflict or threat is on the horizon. The roadmap notes a narrative event called “Interference Alpha Pack” from May 3rd to 16th and July 19th to August 1st so perhaps we’ll learn more by then.
In PvP, players will be slaying their fellow Spartans in new maps like Breaker (Big Team Battle) and Catalyst (Arena). New modes include Land Grab and Last Spartan Standing, the latter serving as an intriguing twist on Free-For-All. Classic modes like King of the Hill are also coming back along with Attrition (introduced in the limited-time Tactical Ops event). Stay tuned for more details when Season 2: Lone Wolves goes live on May 3rd.
