In the absence of E3, Summer Game Fest 2022 will be kicking off on June 9th at 11 AM PT/2 PM ET. The showcase event streams live on YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook and IMAX Live theaters. World premieres, trailers and updates from “the world’s top game developers and platforms” can be expected (along with Geoff Keighley as the host).
Last year’s Summer Game Fest was quite memorable with the debut of Elden Ring’s gameplay. Other noteworthy announcements include Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Death Stranding Director’s Cut, Jurassic World Evolution 2 (with Jeff Goldblum making an appearance) and much more. With over 30 games present last year, it will be interesting to see if this year’s show can top it.
Other noteworthy showcases next month include the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase on June 12th at 10 AM PT. The final runtime hasn’t been decided yet though Xbox GM Aaron Greenberg did admit that the company typically ends up “close to that 90 minutes mark.” Stay tuned for more details and updates in the coming weeks.
