Since announcing Splatoon 3’s release date a month ago, Nintendo has been sharing new tidbits on the shooter on Twitter. Having revealed plenty of new weapons, maps, and multiplayer customization details already, the company has now revealed another new weapon that will be introduced in the game.

To be more specific, the Angle Shooter is a new sub-weapon, and it’s looking like one of the more interesting new additions to Splatoon 3’s arsenal. It will allow players to shoot a straight long-range line that will then bounce off surfaces. Any foe that touches the line will be automatically marked and take damage, which will in turn pin them down, giving players a window in which to splat them using a main weapon. You can check it out in action in the clip below.

Splatoon 3 launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch on September 9. In the meantime, anyone who has the Splatoon 2 base game and a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription can play its Octo Expansion DLC for free.
