Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak

Capcom continues to highlight the new abilities that each weapon tree is getting when Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak launches. The latest videos showcase the new Bow, Gunlance and Charge Blade abilities coming with the expansion. Check them out below.

The Bow gets Butcher’s Bind which fires an Ironsilk arrow. Shooting the same spot that it lands will inflict severing damage. Stake Thrust is a new Switch Skill, essentially sticking an arrowhead into a monster from melee range which deals additional hits when shot. The Gunlance has Bullet Barrage which allows for Bullet Dashing into close range and unleashing all of your shells.

Erupting Cannon appears to power up the Wyrmstake for when you’re ready to attack with the Wyrmstake Cannon. Finally, there’s Charge Blade with the Silkbind Attack “Ready Stance.” This allows for blocking with the Sword and Axe, and can be used to transition into a discharge attack. You also have Phial Follow-up: Firing Pin which leaves a static discharge with the Sword that can be attacked for more damage.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak releases on June 30th for Nintendo Switch and PC. Stay tuned for more videos on the remaining weapons in the coming days.
