Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

The official Pokemon Twitter has announced that a new trailer for Game Freak’s Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will debut tomorrow at 6 AM PDT. It will air on YouTube and provide the latest information on the upcoming RPGs.

Set in a new region, the titles are fully open world. Along with various urban cities, there are also stretches of forests and wilderness (where you’ll of course find wild Pokemon). Depending on the version, the appearance and clothing of the protagonist will be different. Three new starter Pokemon have also been confirmed – Fuecoco, a Fire-type; Quaxly, a Water-type; and Sprigatito, a Grass-type.

Perhaps we’ll learn more about the exact circumstances that prompts the player to select one of these Pokemon as their starter. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are slated to release in late 2022 for the Nintendo Switch so a release date announcement may also be possible. Stay tuned for more details tomorrow.
