DICE has announced that Battlefield 2042’s first season, Zero Hour, will receive a gameplay trailer tomorrow at 8 AM PST. This comes nearly seven months after the shooter’s underwhelming launch.

More details are reportedly coming before June 8th, followed by the season’s apparent launch on June 9th according to insider Tom Henderson. It will only offer one new map, while an existing map, Kaleidoscope, is receiving some alterations. Content plans had to reportedly be “scaled back massively” due to the developer fixing existing core issues.

The next Battlefield game is also seemingly in development and could release in 2024. Despite this, Electronic Arts is apparently taking the “long view” and will continue supporting Battlefield 2042. Stay tuned for more details on Season 1 in the coming days along with patch notes and new gameplay footage.

Battlefield 2042 is currently available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Check out our review for the game here.
