Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak_10

Those who saw the latest Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak trailer may be keen on getting it at launch. But if you’re new, then completing the base campaign is necessary to access the new expansion. While Black Belt armor and Defender weapons helped lessen the grind, Capcom is going one step further with stronger versions of both.

Available on June 30th, the Black Belt S armor and High Rank Defender weapon trees will be available free with the Ver. 10 DLC. The former offers 330 Defense and includes decoration slots. The latter lets you take the Ver. 9 Defender weapons and upgrade them to Rarity 5 for higher Attack and Sharpness.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak releases on the same day for Nintendo Switch and PC. Along with a brand new region and base in Elgado, it offers several brand-new monsters like Malzeno, Lunagaron, and Garangolm. Returning monsters include Seregios, Gore Magala, Shagaru Magala and more along with new subspecies (like a meaner-looking Magnamalo).
