BioWare has a couple of major projects in the works right now with Dragon Age: Dreadwolf and the next Mass Effect, and it seems like it’s bringing on some of the best talent from across the industry to work on those games. Its latest recruit is one a writer with credits on some of the best written games in recent memory.
Mary DeMarle recently announced on LinkedIn that she has left Eidos Montreal after nearly fifteen years at the studio and has joined BioWare. At Eidos Montreal, DeMarle was one of the creative and writing leads on the likes of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, and last year’s Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, so her track record speaks for itself.
What project she’ll be working on at BioWare remains to be seen, but given her track record with sci-fi games, it seems likely that she’ll have joined on to work on the next Mass Effect. Either way, it certainly seems like BioWare has added some serious talent to its team.
