Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is launching later this month, and as is customary for games in the series, it’s going to be a vast, complex game with a great deal going on in terms of both story and gameplay. Nintendo recently aired a Direct presentation dedicated to the game to give a lowdown of its many complexities, and now, they’ve released a truncated version of all that with a new overview trailer. Check it out below.

On top of details about the game’s story and its world as well as its key characters and party members, the overview video also takes a deep dive into Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s gameplay mechanics. On the combat front, Arts, Chain Attacks, classes, and Ouroboros fusions are detailed, while we also get a solid look at the open world aspect of the experience and some of the many varied locations we’ll be exploring throughout the entirety of the experience.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 launches exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on July 29. An Expansion Pass has also been confirmed, and will include a new story scenario coming by December 31, 2023.
