Developer SNK has announced that new Team Awakened Orochi DLC characters for The King of Fighters 15—Orochi Yashiro, Orochi Sherie, and Orochi Chris—are set for release on August 8, according to Gematsu.

Part of the Team Awakened Orochi bundle, the trio got a trailer back in July and a teaser in June. The Yashiro, Sherie and Chris worked to revive Orochi in King of Fighters ’97, and the new DLC indicates that they have inherited Orochi’s powers.

Team Orochi will be the third DLC released for The King of Fighters 15, with a fourth DLC planned for release later this year. Once the planned DLC has been released, SNK plans on accepting feedback on characters for future DLC.

Alongside this, the studio has also announced that it is working on enabling cross-platform multiplayer between all versions of The King of Fighters 15. While no exact timeframe is given, the studio says that the cross-play update is planned for some time in 2023.

The King of Fighters 15 is available on PC, PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X/S. The PS4 and PS5 versions have cross-play multiplayer. For more information on the game, check out our review.
