In its interim report for the Q1 fiscal year 2023, the Embracer Group talked about its upcoming releases. The publisher has over 220 ongoing game projects, including more than 25 AAA titles to be released up till the financial year 2025/26. For this year, there are two AAA projects – Volition’s Saints Row is the first and releases next week.

It said the reboot is “one of the most important releases in this financial year.” Along with noting the building excitement for fans, the Embracer Group said pre-orders are “solid” and “tracking in line with our expectations.” The second triple-A is another “highly anticipated game” which will be announced “soon” and released in the fourth quarter.

As a reboot of the beloved open-world series, Saints Row takes place in a new setting, Santo Ileso. The Boss and their friends must work their way up through crime, investing in ventures, committing heists and battling multiple factions to rule the city. Along with extensive customization for characters, weapons and vehicles, it offers a wingsuit for flying around the city.

Saints Row releases on August 23rd for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, and Google Stadia. For more details on the story, head here.
