Persona 5 Royal

Fans have been waiting for mainline Persona games to make their way over to other platforms beyond PlayStation for a long time, and soon, that’ll finally happen. Persona 5 Royal is set to launch for PC, Xbox, and Switch later this year, with Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden also releasing for PC and consoles at a later date.

And with Royal’s launch on additional platforms drawing closer, new details on it are coming through. For instance, it seems the game’s file size on the Switch has been revealed. As spotted by @ScrambledFaz over on Twitter, Persona 5 Royal’s Switch eShop page in Japan seems to have been updated and mentions that the game will require a file size of 12.5 GB.

That is, of course, about what you’d expect from a Switch game. Meanwhile, in comparison, on the PS4, the game’s size is 37.7 GB, so we’re looking at quite a significant reduction here.

Persona 5 Royal will launch for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, and PC on October 21. On PlayStation, the game will not offer any cross-gen upgrade paths, which means PS4 owners will have to purchase the PS5 version at full price again.
