Yesterday, CD Projekt RED outlined many of the features coming with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition’s next-gen update. It includes ray tracing at 4K/30 FPS, a 60 FPS Performance mode, and more on Xbox Series X/S and PS5. However, in addition to cloud saves, cross-progression is also coming, allowing players to transfer their save data between current-gen consoles and PC.

Other quality-of-life changes include a change to how Signs are used. Instead of just pressing Left Bumper/L1 to switch between Signs, it can be held down, and a corresponding face button pressed to use each one. The map is also getting some filter settings for easier readability. A more dynamic mini-map will see objectives disappearing when exploring or fighting, though you can bring it up again to keep track of where you’re going.

Accessibility features include changing left stick to auto sprint instead of pressing a face button, HUD scaling and subtitle size. A new camera angle also allows for more “cinematic” gameplay, which mirrors the first reveal trailer.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition is out on December 14th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. A physical release for consoles will launch later.
