Arc System Works has announced that Version 1.24 for Guilty Gear Strive goes live on December 15th and finally adds cross-platform play. PS4, PS5, and PC players on Steam can finally play against each other. You can also view replays, rankings, and Combo Maker creations for players on other platforms.

There is an option to turn off cross-platform play, limiting you to matches with those on the same platform. In addition, the update will allow for reporting other players. The developer will evaluate them from “various standpoints” and may ban them from online play if any foul measures are detected.

You can also Mute players, hiding their name (which will appear as “GG Player” instead) and preventing any messages from appearing in the chat log. Any Digital Figures or Replays from the player also can’t be viewed.
