Dambuster’s Dead Island 2 is a fun, zombie-slaying experience that doesn’t overstay its welcome. Though you can level up and seek out weapons with different rarities, including the coveted Legendaries, there’s no pressure to grind.

However, some Challenges are associated with hitting the max level, earning cash, and killing select numbers of zombies of different types. Farming these with minimal fuss is always ideal, and there are plenty of spots that help. Of course, they’re also ideal for growing super-powerful or rich quickly while obtaining tons of weapons. Let’s look at some top-tier farming locations:

Best Farming Locations for XP, Weapons and Money

“O Michael, Where Art Thou?”

Available in the main mission “O Michael, Where Art Thou?” Go to Beverly Hills and speak to Rikky, the ageing rock star who wants you to fix his gates (as seen in a previous gameplay video). First, kill the zombies that appear when the garage door opens behind you. Now go to the backyard and check the gate, which has zombies entering. There’s also a pipe leak, which continuously sprays flammable oil.

Strike the oil to set it on fire, sit back (the crate in the swimming pool is a good place to stand) and watch the zombies enter through the back gate. They’ll continuously be incinerated by the fire, dropping money and weapons. You can pick these up regularly or passively accrue XP and complete Challenges. Some Burning Walkers will make it through, but thanks to the electrified swimming pool, they’ll die by falling in.

If you want to stop the flow of zombies and the fire, go back towards the garage but stick to the left. Drop down to the left from the wall, and walk down until a timer starts counting down (stating that you’re leaving the mission area). Once it ticks to zero, return and collect everything without any threats, undead or fiery.

To resume, go to the Main Menu and then load back in. Speak to Rikky to start up the whole process again. You could also look for a nearby locker and deposit weapons to free up inventory space.

Beverly Hills, Post Main Mission 8

Another location for farming is available after the main mission, “Kwon With the Wind,” which is also not too far into the story. You’ll be actively involved in the zombie slaying, but it’s easy. In Beverly Hills, go to the hill marked on the left-most part of the map (a red line is above it), specifically near the intersection.

Screamers must be unlocked in the game, which should happen by now. First, jump-kick the gasoline tanker, then the police car just after it and another slightly further down. Ensure the Screamer sees you, but don’t kill her – she’ll summon even more zombies to the scene upon continuously screaming. Retreat up to the top of the gasoline tanker for some breathing room.

Once enough have spawned in, use any area of effect attacks, Curveballs like Molotov Cocktails and so on to slay the zombies. Pick up the money and weapons, and then return to the top of the tanker. Repeat the process, and don’t worry if your inventory space runs low, as weapons are available to claim later on.

When farming, make sure you sell any weapons that you don’t want. The Superior ones especially fetch a hefty price, and given that there are vendors nearby, it’s easy to pop by, sell the weapons and then return to either farming spot to continue.
