Hi Fi Rush Arcade Challenge Update

Tango Gameworks confirmed that new content is coming to Hi-Fi Rush on July 5th with the Arcade Challenge! Update! It adds two new modes – BPM Rush and Power Up! Tower Up! – which unlock after completing the story. Check out the trailer below to see it in action.

BPM Rush essentially tasks players with fighting waves of enemies, with the beats per minute increasing each minute, eventually hitting 200 BPM. Power Up! Tower Up! is the Rhythm Tower challenge but with a rogue-lite structure. Chai starts depowered, and players must defeat enemies to unlock new upgrades each round.

These boost stats and provide other benefits, but the score multiplier is lowered. However, there are also Bugs, which are negative modifiers but boost the score multiplier. Upgrades and Bugs are random at each level, and players can use new Special Attacks with CNMN and Smidge.

Completing the new challenges unlocks new t-shirts for Chai and outfits for Korsica, Photo Mode Stickers, and more. Photo Mode is also getting new filters and poses, and five new original songs are also being added. You’ll also have to contend with two brand-new enemies and some new secrets to discover.

A new Costume Pack is also coming, which dresses the cast in outfits from a different era. Stay tuned for more details on the update in the coming weeks.
