Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon

FromSoftware’s Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon launches next week, but it’s never too late for some new details. It’s announced a new showcase on August 18th at 4 PM PDT to highlight the lore, PvP and mission gameplay.

The story is set on Rubicon 3, a planet which faced an unprecedented disaster, the Fires of Ebis, long ago due to the rare material Coral. Several decades later, Coral has reappeared, and various megacorps and factions are fighting over it. You play a mercenary named C4-621 who works with Walter’s group, taking on different, dangerous jobs.

Regarding gameplay, we know that missions have checkpoints to change load-outs, and players won’t lose currency on dying at any point. PvP is the only feature that hasn’t been detailed, aside from reportedly supporting 2-6 players. Stay tuned for more details when the showcase airs.

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is out on August 25th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC. Check out our feature for more details and PC requirements here.
