Sledgehammer Games debuted new gameplay of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 at Gamescom Opening Night Live, focusing on one of the early campaign missions. It sees Task Force 141 sneaking into Zordaya Prison Complex, following some underwater traversal, and relying on line launchers, silenced weapons and the good ol’ NVG to get by. Check it out below.

It’s not long before the explosives go off, and the team starts blasting. When it’s lights out, players rappel downwards through the prison while firing at enemies. Upon reaching the end, the team breaches a door for their target, who remains unknown. If nothing else, the lighting, shadows and effects are as impressive as ever.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launches on November 10th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC. Unlike last year’s entry, Sledgehammer Games is leading development and working with Treyarch on the new open-world Zombies experience. Its open beta goes live on October 6th, with more details coming at the Call of Duty Next showcase.
