Recently at its RGG Summit, developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio revealed a host of new details on upcoming Like a Dragon games, with the series’ next mainline instalment, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, taking centerstage. Along with confirming that the RPG will be out in January, and will be sold at a price of $70 (a first for the franchise), the developer has also revealed the first 20 minutes of the game, courtesy of IGN.

Infinite Wealth begins with protagonist Ichiban Kasuga landing in Honolulu and, unsurprisingly, getting into hot water with a shady cop, though the gameplay video focuses primarily on what happens afterward. We get to see some new combat footage, showcasing how the turn-based system introduced in the previous instalment is being built upon in the upcoming sequel, as well as plenty of glimpses of the vibrant new Hawaiian setting.

There’s also footage in there of one of Infinite Wealth’s new minigames- Crazy Delivery, which, as its name suggests, is a delivery-based minigame inspired by the Crazy Taxi games. Check out the gameplay video below for more details.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has also confirmed that Like a Dragon: Ishin!which launched earlier this year, will be coming to Game Pass soon, while the upcoming Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will also be available on the Xbox service at launch.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is due out on January 26, 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
