Geometric Interactive’s COCOON, a puzzle adventure title where players venture into different worlds via orbs carried on their backs, is now available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch, along with Game Pass. Check out the launch trailer below to see it in action.
COCOON sees players investigating different environments and tinkering with machines abandoned by an ancient civilization. They’ll discover orbs which have self-contained worlds but also provide unique abilities and are used to solve different puzzles like activating switches and uncovering hidden paths. Of course, there are also boss battles against guardians.
Perhaps the biggest claim to fame for COCOON is that Limbo and Inside lead gameplay designer Jeppe Carlsen is involved. You can check out our review for more details on the gameplay and how it fares. We awarded it an 8 out of 10, praising the visuals and mechanics but criticizing some of the more esoteric puzzles.
