Ubisoft’s Skull and Bones has received another release date, launching on February 16th, 2024, after numerous delays. Time will tell if another delay occurs, but for now, a new closed beta will start on December 14th at 1 AM PT and end on December 18th at midnight PT for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.

You get only six hours of playtime, usable throughout the closed beta period. It only counts when in a game session, so don’t idle in the game world for long. Participants should receive invitations on their registered Ubisoft Connect ID and can invite up to two friends to take part.

As for its content, the closed beta includes Sainte Anne, a pirate den in the Red Isle for crafting, accessing the warehouse, selling commodities, repairing your ship and meeting other players. You can explore the Coast of Africa, the Red Isles and more while meeting different factions. There are also Golden Path Contracts to pursue, though other content like Side Contracts, Bounty Contracts, World Events and Repeatable Contracts are also available.

Spending six hours in the closed beta provides the Skull and Bones Welcome Firework. You also get the Spoken For Emote by crafting and sailing a Bedar. Completing a World Event unlocks the Pioneer Set for use in the game. It includes a Sail Color, Hull Color, Sail Pattern, Ship Emblem and Ship Plate.
