PlayStation kicked off its latest State of Play with Arrowhead Game Studios’ Helldivers 2, the sequel to the 2015 overhead shooter. It’s out next week for PS5 and PC, launching with cross-platform play. A new trailer is available, showcasing some of the insane action that players can expect. Check it out below.

Perhaps more important is that players can call in mechs and pilot them to wreak havoc on the Bugs. It’s unknown if this is a Stratagem or something else, but it looks fun. Like the first game, players can call in various Stratagems to even the odds and must be wary of accidentally killing allies with supply drops (or friendly fire).

Helldivers 2 launches on February 8th and has a live service system called Warbonds. You can learn more about them here, but it’s essentially a Battle Pass-like system that doesn’t expire. Players have free tiers to unlock items and Premium Warbonds acquired with Super Credits (earnable in-game or with real money). There’s also the Superstore for purchasing cosmetics like new armor. Stay tuned for more details en route to its launch.
