In a new Metal Gear Production Hotline video, Konami provided updates on the series, the potential for more remakes, etc. However, it still intends to update Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1.
As outlined in the tweet below, some include addressing complaints like the lack of control configuration options, “unnatural” keyboard controls, and missing Codec/radio voice data on Nintendo Switch. Fixes for all of these are in progress but are expected to take more time. Konami is also investigating the “inadequate” upscaling method used on all platforms and will provide more details when it has a solution.
Various other issues have also been fixed, like the player character moving at high speeds, input delay in Metal Gear Solid 1 and audio clipping on the Steam version. Nintendo Switch and Steam players should also be able to download the bonus video content. Stay tuned for more updates in the meantime.
Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 is available for PS4, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X/S. Check out our review here.
