Destiny 2 The Witch Queen

Bungie and PlayStation have announced a new initiative for Destiny 2 players called Expansion Open Access. From May 7th to June 3rd, PS4, PS5 and PC players can play through The Witch Queen, Beyond Light and Shadowkeep for free. Check out the trailer below.

PlayStation Plus Essential is required for PS4 and PS5 players to get the most out of the expansions, but at least they also get the Lightfall expansion as part of this month’s free games. The initiative is a good way for players to catch up on the franchise ahead of The Final Shape’s launch, especially since it concludes the Light and Darkness saga.

You won’t get to experience the seasonal content that launched between each expansion or even access their Dungeons, but at least the loot is available to keep. Destiny 2: The Final Shape launches on June 4th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC. In the meantime, current players can also experience the new Onslaught and Pantheon modes alongside the return of The Whisper Exotic mission.
