With Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 still roughly two months away, Focus Entertainment has released a brief new trailer for the Chainsword. It’s perhaps the most iconic weapon in the franchise and, to no one’s surprise, incredibly brutal. Check it out below.
Players can swing the Chainsword relentlessly, chaining strikes together before ending the combo with an area-of-effect stomp. While ideal for stripping away the more armored Tyranids, it’s also incredibly good at parrying incoming strikes, leaving them dazed for a finisher. A quick Bolt Pistol shot to the head does the job, but you can also employ more brutal methods.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 launches on September 9th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. It will launch with a campaign that lasts approximately 12 hours, co-op Operations and Eternal War PvP. Though initially slated to have a public beta, it’s been cancelled in favor of polishing the final release. Head here for more details on the combat and progression.
