Arc System Works had some pretty big announcements during EVO 2024, not the least of which includes Guilty Gear Strive’s next DLC characters. These include Dizzy, Venom and the surprising reveal of Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. However, there’s also Unika, a brand-new character.
A new tweet provides some details, noting she’s a “girl of unknown origins who appeared out of nowhere” and “bears exceptional hostility towards Gears and plots to destroy every last one of them.” Her reasons are up in the air, but she plays a part in the upcoming Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers anime. Time will tell, so stay tuned.
Unika joins the roster in Spring 2025, according to another tweet (which also confirms Lucy’s addition in Summer 2025). The two new stages are also coming next year, while Dizzy, Venom and Unika will receive six additional color schemes. Interestingly, Lucy won’t get any and doesn’t benefit from the new Premium Color available on pre-purchasing Season Pass 4.
