Team Asobi’s Astro Bot is a little over two weeks from launch, but gameplay has already started leaking. Footage emerged from a YouTube user who claimed to have received the title early and finished it, showcasing different worlds.

Though the video has since gone private, various mirrors are available online. Some have noted a few new details, like a hub where all the Bots gather and different kinds of biomes, including tropical, ice, and two set in the desert. However, perhaps the most compelling part of the leaked gameplay is the number of Bots from other franchises.

A user on ResetEra noted down those that they observed, which numbers about 72. We won’t spoil anything, but many iconic characters from third-party franchises pop up. Considering there are over 300 Bots to rescue, the sheer breadth of the cameos is mind-boggling.

Astro Bot launches on September 6th for PS5. Check out our feature for more details. You can also watch some gameplay from the ChinaJoy 2024 demo.
