Diablo 4 is set to receive its first major paid expansion in less than a couple of months’ time when Vessel of Hatred launches in October, and as previously confirmed, the action RPG expansion got another look at Gamescom Opening Night Live.

Blizzard Entertainment’s newest trailer for the expansion reveals Mercenaries, who are new, recruitable characters that players will be able to fight alongside. Additionally, players can also expect new dungeons with special rewards, such as The Dark Citadel, a new co-op PvE dungeon that will tout dedicated multiplayer puzzles and mechanics.

Check out the gameplay trailer below for another look at the upcoming expansion and the adrenaline-fueled action it will have on offer. More details on Vessel of Hatred will be shared as we approach its release in October, so stay tuned for continued updates.
