Given how promising Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has looked leading up to its release, and given how long fans of its predecessor have waited for a follow-up, it’s no surprise that the action title has generated the sort of excitement that it has. Today, it’s out for those who purchased the game’s Gold and Ultimate Editions, and publisher Focus Entertainment has released a launch trailer to commemorate the same. Check it out below.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is set roughly two centuries after the first game, and once again delivers brutal third-person shooting mixed with hack-and-slash elements. Another one of its major selling points is the massive, large-scale swarms of enemies players fight in real-time on numerous occasions, powered by developer Saver Interactive’s proprietary Swarm Engine.

In addition to a campaign that can be played both solo and co-op, Space Marine 2 also features a three-player PvE co-op mode called Operations, and a 6v6 PvP component dubbed Eternal War. Saber also intends to support the title with plenty of free post-launch updates over the coming months- read more on that through here.

In our review of the game, we awarded it a score of 9/10, saying, “Brutal action, mind-boggling scale, spectacular set-pieces, and a bevy of content come together in what is one of the best action games in recent memory. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is unmissable.” Read the full review through here.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC for Gold and Ultimate Edition owners. It launches globally on September 9.
