Deck Nine Games’ Life is Strange: Double Exposure is live early for Ultimate Edition owners. More specifically, its first two chapters are. Advanced access became available yesterday for those who purchase the $80 edition, allowing them to delve into part of the story.
Thus far, impressions are positive, though some players have complained about visual bugs (like Vinh suddenly T-posing, as seen in this Reddit post), performance issues on PC, and at least one crash. As previously confirmed, the sequel respects the very first game’s endings, but you have to choose which one to follow at the start (which manifests in interesting ways). Thus far, fans are intrigued by the overall direction of the current story.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure launches on October 29th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, with the Nintendo Switch version coming later. Check out the latest trailer to learn more about the premise, Max’s ability to switch between parallel timelines, etc.
