505 Games has announced out of nowhere that Death Stranding: Director’s Cut is now available for Xbox Series X/S and on the Microsoft Store for PC. Developed by Kojima Productions, the action-adventure title launched in 2019 for PS4 before coming to PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store), macOS, iOS, and iPad OS. The Director’s Cut debuted in 2021 for PS5 and eventually arrived on PC.

Starring Norman Reedus as Sam “Porter” Bridges, the story sees the player venturing across the post-apocalyptic United States to reconnect its cities to the Chiral Network. The Director’s Cut adds several new features, including new exoskeletons, a new weapon, and even some stealth-focused content. PC players on the Microsoft Store can look forward to Ultrawide screen support and high frame rates.
