Sandfall Interactive released a new character trailer for its upcoming turn-based RPG, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which launches next month. While the previous one focused on Gustave, the de facto leader, this one is about Maelle, his foster sister, voiced by Jennifer English (Shadowheart of Baldur’s Gate 3 fame). Check it out below.
Aged 16, Maelle doesn’t quite meet the requirements for the Expedition, which sends out members with only one year left to deal with the mysterious Paintress. However, she’s keen to leave Lumière and see the wider world. Like other party members, Maelle has a unique fighting style relying on Stances. Offensive, for example, will increase her damage dealt by 50 percent while also upping the damage received.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 launches on April 24th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Retailing for $50, it promises a main story over 30 hours long. Check out some extensive hands-on footage from a preview demo, which covers the initial parts of the story.
