The demo for Rogue Factor’s upcoming hack-and-slash action-adventure Hell is Us goes live later today at 4 PM UTC. It’s exclusive to Steam, but the question is: Can your PC handle it (and the game)? Based on the system requirements, the answer is a big “It depends.”
The minimum requirements are forgiving and include an Intel Core i7-7700K or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT 6 GB and 16 GB RAM for 1080p/30 FPS on Medium settings. The recommended requirements include a Core i7-11700K or Ryzen 5 7600, an RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB or Radeon RX 6750 XT 12 GB, and 16 GB of RAM.
This delivers 1080p/60 FPS on High settings, but the real kicker is the Ultra specs. To play in 4K/30 FPS on Ultra settings, the CPU and RAM remain unchanged, but you’ll need an RTX 4090 24 GB or a Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24 GB. Keep in mind that all of these are with upscaling enabled.
Granted, High and Very High settings are also available, but also demand some powerful GPUs. All configurations require a solid-state drive and 30 GB of installation space.
Hell is Us launches on September 4th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. The resolution and frame rate for consoles have yet to be announced.
