MindsEye

Build A Rocket Boy’s MindsEye is out now on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, but initial impressions aren’t good. It currently has a “Mixed” rating on Steam, with only 42 percent of its 845 user reviews recommending the game. Complaints range from glitches, stuttering, and poor optimization to bland gameplay and voice acting.

The community team has since issued an update on Reddit, thanking day-one players. “We understand that the current minimum spec requirements are very high, but our engineering team is working around the clock to improve performance on mainstream hardware as well as consoles by integrating the performance improvements in Unreal Engine V5.6.”

It will update players on the timing of Update 3 and the above improvements within 24 hours of the post going live. Interestingly, it mentions that the team would “value your thoughts on Build.Mindseye,” the tool for creating content.

MindsEye retails for $59.99 and follows Jacob Diaz, a former special ops soldier, who goes about his day as a security hire for Silva Industries in Redrock City. Things eventually take a turn (with a robot uprising seemingly the cause), and he must fight against all kinds of dangerous factions to survive. Check out the latest gameplay here and Build A Rocket Boy’s roadmap for future content.
