Dying Light The Beast

Techland’s Dying Light: The Beast, which the studio considers as Dying Light 3 in all but name, is still over two weeks away from launch. However, its PC (and laptop) requirements have been revealed, including the hardware necessary for 4K/60 FPS at Ultra.

First things first, you’ll need 70 GB of space on a solid-state drive. An Intel Core i5-13400F or AMD Ryzen 7 5800F, 16 GB RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060, Radeon RX 5500 XT or Intel Arc A750 are required for 1080p/30 FPS on Low settings. For 1440p/60 FPS on Medium, an RTX 3070 Ti, Radeon RX 6750 XT, or Arc B850 is required.

CPU and RAM remain the same, though AMD users will need a Ryzen 7 7700 instead. Playing at 4K/60 FPS on High increases the RAM requirement to 32 GB alongside a Core i7-13700K or Ryzen 9 7800 X3D, and an RTX 4070 Ti or Radeon RX 7900 GRE.

Finally, for 4K/60 FPS on Ultra with ray tracing and Frame Generation enabled, an RTX 5070 or Radeon RX 9070 will be required (the Arc B850 is likely a mistake). You’ll also need a Core i9-14900K or Ryzen 9 7950 X3D and 32 GB of RAM. Overall, even on Medium settings, it’s a fairly demanding game, but it’s confirmed to support Ultrawide resolutions and upscalers like Intel XeSS 2, AMD FSR 3.1 and Nvidia DLSS 4.

Dying Light: The Beast launches on September 19th for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5, with PS4 and Xbox One versions launching later this year. To learn more about how much it evolves on Dying Light 2 Stay Human, check out our feature.
